My general research interests involve the interactions of physics and biology. More specifically, I am interested in elucidating how physical processes such as hydrodynamics influence the life history of planktonic organisms. Chemical oceanography, aquatic chemistry, biogeochemistry, trace metal distribution and speciation, redox tracers, planktonic metal composition and trophic transfer. My research interests also include biogeochemical cycling and speciation of dissolved, particulate inorganic and methylated mercury (Hg) species in various environments.
